From quick gift bags to carry all totes, Janice will show you how to make this muti-purpose, multi-pocketed tote your own.

There are lots of choices of sizes, closures, color and pockets combinations. Make open or closed tops, zippers, snaps and flaps. Janice's tips and tricks will help your bags fit you’re needs and personality. You'll be showing them off and using them for years. And, you can use your new bags to tote it all home.

Lorraine Kimmel will show you an easy method of making Crazy Quilts.

She will focus on velvets, brocades, lace, silks, and ties and show you how to make crazy patches and hold them together with elegant embroidery stitches.

You will be delighted with your own crazy quilt heirloom .

 

Slice + Dice

Barb Trenary

Barb Trenary will show you how to slice 4 fat quarter quilt blocks and dice them into new quilt blocks. Or slice 4 other quilt blocks into your very own “Convergence” quilt. Fast and fun techniques, and all done on the machine.


Robbie's Faulous Fabric Bowls

Robbie Severson will teach you two different methods for making these unique fabric bowls and give you tips on embellishing them.

You should be able to finish 2 to 4 bowls during the Retreat.

Our aclaimed pattern maker, Jinni Nastiuk, is bringing her unique
body fitting patterns, developed over years of intensive research
fitting thousands of bodies, to this fun and easy robe class.

Her patterns are multi-sized from petite to extra large, proportioned for the mature female figure and customized for different body shapes. 

The robe patterns come in 2 styles: drop shoulder and raglan.  You can also make a coat or jacket from these same patterns.

It’s not as hard as you might think. Make sleepwear, slip-ons, skimmers, shifts, or shapely drapey shells, but keep it simple to

Carolyn's Stack'N Whack

Have a quilt you’ve been wanting to make but just don’t know where to start? Bring your pattern and fabric for expert help.

This year’s focus quilt will be Stack’n Whack. Chose a large scale print with lots of color contrast and watch it turn into a kaleidoscope of fascinating blocks.

Cheryl's Machine Sashiko

Machine Sashiko:                                      (8 students)

Cheryl Tolbert

This traditional Japanese style of whole cloth quilting was orginally done by hand through several layers of indigo cloth using heavy white
thread. You will use your sewing machine to to achieve this stunning embellishment on a comtemporary project of your choice.

Sashiko can be used to decorate garments, pillows, table runners, purses and totes.

You will learn techniques for using different threads, transferring designs, continuous line quilting as well as free-motion. Cheryl will teach a reversible 2-sided binding and share lots of design ideas.

Some of us sew, some kint and some do both.
